Janel Caine has a bachelors and a masters in flute performance and in music therapy.  With over 30 years experience teaching flute, she has a special versatility and knowledge of approaching flute students of all ages, abilities, and levels, including special needs.  Her goal for every student is to have flute as a lifetime pleasure and fulfilling pastime. Janel’s students enjoy a high level of success in local and regional auditions and competitions, including the Tallahassee Youth Orchestra, the Big Bend Community Orchestra Young Artist Competition, All-State Band, All-State Orchestra, and the Florida Flute Association High School Young Artist Competition.

Janel attended North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Idaho, and Florida State University.  Her teachers include Mary Roberts Wilson, Phillip Dunnigan, Richard Hahn, and Charles DeLaney.
