The Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee is a 32,000 square-foot facility located on beautiful Kleman Plaza in downtown Tallahassee. The Center is the K-12 outreach facility of the Florida A&M University – Florida State University College of Engineering and uses aerospace as a theme to foster long-term interest in math, science, engineering and technology; create positive learning experiences; and motivate students to pursue higher education and careers in these fields.

Challenger Learning Center offers Home School Days with themes including chemistry, rockets, animals, engineering and more. Led by experienced educators, campers participate in hands-on activities within each theme including designing, building, drawing, painting and much more. Each camp group contains at least one certified teacher. Campers are also guaranteed focused attention with a ratio of at least one adult for every eight children. Camp counselors, as well as volunteers, are made up of teachers, students pursuing a degree in education, adults with an extensive science background and individuals experienced with child care or educational programs. Additionally, in order to maintain a secure atmosphere, all camp staff undergoes a Level 2 background check and all camp staff are diligent about checking Identification of those dropping off/picking up children.
