An important call to venues about an important national arts and culture effort with local participation opportunities:

A national advocacy effort, led by We Make Events, is underway to implore the US Congress to pass the RESTART Act (S.3814) as quickly as possible. The act will provide economic relief to the Live Events Industry, which has been shuttered since March 2020, putting millions of people out of work. 

With the goal to raise public awareness that the Live Events Industry is on Red Alert for its very survival, and to create congressional pressure to act now, we will be lighting the Westcott Fountain in red. 

We ask that on September 1, 2020, when buildings, structures, and residences will be lit in red from 9 pm - 12 am (local time in each market) as the event rolls across North America, that you please join us in this demonstration.

On September 1st, take photos of your space lit in red and share it with us and on social media.
