Current Program Information

EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE

The Leon County CARES Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program will launch on Monday March 29th at 8:30 a.m. and assist eligible residents impacted by COVID-19 with up to 12 months of past due rent and/or utilities as well as up to three (3) months of future rent and/or utilities. Residents can apply, and find more information, here.

Leon CARES Grants had three funding opportunities, listed below. The Leon CARES website has more information and application portals. Applicants with questions regarding program eligibility and the application process can also call the Leon CARES Call Center at (855) 203-6584 (toll free) between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

LOCAL NONPROFIT ASSISTANCE GRANT

Beginning Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 8:00 a.m., eligible nonprofit organizations in Leon County can apply for grant funding by submitting an application through the Leon CARES online portal, which can be found here. Before starting an application, applicants must register an account through the portal by providing their name, email, and password.

SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE GRANT

Please Note: OEV (Office of Economic Vitality) is no longer accepting applications for small business grants through the Leon CARES site as of 10/20/2020.

Assists Leon County small businesses with COVID-19 expenses such as employee wages, vendor bills, rent, utilities, promotion, and safety costs.

Assists Leon County households with past-due rent, mortgage and utility bills.
