Have an idea to make Tallahassee more welcoming, equitable or resilient? Emerging City Champions offers $5,000 and leadership training for public space, mobility or community engagement projects. Apply by July 12: http://emergingcitychampions.org #k880champs @880cities @knightfdn

Public space, mobility, and civic engagement have always been central to Emerging City Champions. With the pandemic and nation-wide protests highlighting deep inequities in our systems, it’s clear that we need to invest in diverse young leaders to create more resilient, inclusive, and equitable communities for our collective future.

Champions will receive $5,000 in seed funding to implement one community project in one year. We are looking for projects that respond to community needs, build on local assets, and are implemented through collaboration. Projects must address public space, mobility, and/or civic engagement challenges in the community, and must be based in one of the 26 cities where Knight Foundation invests.
