Golden Lighting is a proud partner of the upcoming Power Forward Speaker Series event with Peter Diamandis - Founder and Director of Singularity University, a global learning and innovation community focused on building a better future for all. In honor of him coming here, Golden Lighting has sponsored a local Short Essay Competition to spark ideas and encourage new voices to come to light.

The Goal: To identify, inspire, and empower potential and existing local leaders.

The Prize: The grand-prize winner receives a round-trip to the Singularity University’s 3-day Global Summit in Los Angeles, California.

How to Participate: Starting February 1st until February 29th, participants can submit short essays of 100-200 words expressing their love for the city and their ideas for a brighter future for Tallahassee.

How to Qualify: You must be over the age of 21, a legal resident of Tallahassee, FL, and available to attend the Singularity University Global Summit conference occurring June 1st-3rd.

Essay Submissions Open 2/1/2020 and Close on 2/29/2020

A distinguished jury will determine the essay finalists, then a public vote will decide the grand-prize winner.
