Jazz Road

Jazz Road is an artist-centric touring and residency grants program to spread jazz throughout the country, strengthen work opportunities and compensation for jazz artists, and bolster deeper engagement between jazz musicians, presenters and communities. U.S.-based jazz artists who define themselves as emerging to more established along a career spectrum are eligible for support. The program is intended to support jazz artists for which this grant would have new and significant career impact.Jazz Road contains two grants programs, Jazz Road Tours and Jazz Road Creative Residencies.

Jazz artists, take your music to places it's never been. Jazz Road Tours offer grants of up to $15,000 to develop tours into communities across the country.

Southern Prize & State Fellowships

The Southern Prize and State Fellowships is open to visual artists in our nine-state region to support, expose, and celebrate the breadth, depth and diversity of artistic excellence.

COMMUNITY & ORGANIZATION GRANTS

Express Grants

Open to organizations in rural communities of 50,000 people or less, the Express Grant program offers expedited awards of up to $2,000 supporting the presentation of touring artists.Applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the project start date. Applicants will be notified by email within four weeks of submission. Projects must take place between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. Express Grant applications must be submitted online at least 60 days prior to the project start date.

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Micro Accessibility Grants

Grants of up to $2,500 for organizations to make arts programs accessible to persons with disabilities. Micro Accessibility Grants may be submitted beginning July 25, 2022, for projects taking place between August 25, 2022-June 30, 2023. The project must take place by June 30, 2023.

Deadline: May 15, 2023. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET.

Presentation Grants

Grants up to $9,500 for organizations to present a Southern artist for a performing arts, literary arts, visual arts, or film engagement.

Professional Development & Artistic Planning Grants

These grants offer up to $1,000 to support artistic planning and the professional development needs of Southern presenters, programmers, or curators. Professional Development and Artistic Planning applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the activities. All activities must take place between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.

Traditional Arts Touring Grants

These funds support projects engaging a traditional artist/ensemble for multi-day residencies in Southern communities.
