Pyramid Studios in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a full-time Visual Arts Instructor to teach fine arts to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will have skills in three or more visual art disciplines and the ability to share their knowledge with students.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Three or more arts-related skills
• Successful criminal background check
• Successful drug test
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities include

• Use of arts to enrich the lives of students
• Developing short-term objectives for students
• Developing classes, projects and curricula
• Being a dependable role model for students
• Determining the interests and abilities of students

Some professional experience is helpful, but not required. Personal care is required with this position.

Starting pay is $9.50 per hour, or more based on experience. Benefits include group health insurance, paid leave and holidays. The work schedule is during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

Pyramid is a private non-profit company that provides holistic day training. Visual and performing arts are core components of our service. Students learn the principles of art and theatre and exhibit and perform extensively in the community and around the state.
