Mission San Luis is accepting internship applications for the fall semester. These professional internships are open to undergraduate and graduate students studying public history education, anthropology, museum studies, history, or any other related fields that support museum operations. Mission San Luis internships can now be for academic credit or simply for professional experience.

A large benefit of this internship is learning how a museum operates behind the scenes and the roles each department plays in making sure operations run smoothly. Interns will be able to spend time learning about and participating in the daily activities of museum staff in multiple departments. Areas of focus can be developed based on interests and correlation to concentrations within the major. Responsibilities include:  leading tours, assisting staff with projects, creating exhibits and educational curriculum, keeping a journal of daily activities, and other tasks related to the museum.

To apply, please email amy.christianson@dos.myflorida.com for an application. Fall applications will be accepted until September 30th, but candidates may place their applications on file for future semesters if desired.
