SoMo Playhouse and Midtown Arts are seeking actors for an upcoming staged reading of Blues for Mister Charlie. The performance date is tentatively February 8 - 11, 2018. Any actors may audition, though we are specifically seeking six white actors and six black actors (male and female). The play deals with racism in the South in the 1960's. James Baldwin looks from the most realistic perspective he can visualize, into the hearts and minds of those with privilege and those who are oppressed. Characters need to be strong minded and courageous. They must have the courage to bring James Baldwin's truth to the forefront and deal with hatred from a literary point of view.

For private auditions, please call (850) 339-5143 and ask for Renee.
