WHAT IS AN #UNSELFIE?

An #UNselfie is the opposite of a selfie because it focuses attention on the causes and organizations you support most.

Submitting an #UNselfie involves a short list of simple steps:

1. Take a piece of paper and write down one charitable organization you support.

2. Take a picture of yourself holding it.

3. Enter the contest by uploading the photo at the link Tallahassee.com/unselfie or by posting it on Instagram with the hashtag #UNselfieBigBend. Deadline for entry is Monday, Nov. 27 at 11:59 p.m.

4. Use the share buttons to raise awareness for your favorite nonprofit after you enter.

5. Vote at the photo gallery on Nov. 28 from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

6. Tell your friends and family to vote, too.

The organization with the most combined votes for their UNselfies will be announced online and published, along with a highlight of the featured nonprofit, both in the Tallahassee Democrat and on Tallahassee.com.

*Only 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing with the IRS are eligible to win.
