The Florida A&M University Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery is accepting internship applications for the Spring 2018 semester (January 8 - April 27).

Our gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building on FAMU's campus where interns will have the opportunity to engage with the FAMU art community as well as the Tallahassee art community at large during opening receptions and our other public programs.

We have three exciting art exhibitions we are planning and implementing for the spring 2018 semester, and are looking for creative and motivated student interns to be a part of our upcoming exhibition season.

We are looking for students interested in/or have experience in:

  1. Marketing/communications
  2. Museum education
  3. Exhibition installation and preparation

This is a great learning experience for students interested in museum work in general, so we are interested in students interested in the day-to-day operations of an art gallery as well.  You will be working directly with the gallery director to assist with long and short-term projects, as well as daily tasks.  This is an unpaid internship.  We are flexible with scheduling, but are looking for interns who can at least commit to at least 90 hours for the semester.

Qualifications:  Must be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate) seeking internship credit hours.   Looking for candidates who are:

  1. Good communicators
  2. Organized
  3. Punctual
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Office

To Apply:  Please submit a cover e-mail letter stating your area of museum interest and attach your resume/CV (Word document or PDF) to fostertannergallery@famu.edu with the subject line: Spring 2018 Gallery Internship.

Deadline to apply:  January 4, 2018
