Midtown Reader is excited to host a “Story Slam” on the first Thursday of each month. We’re proud to partner with FSU’s creative writing program and the Tallahassee Writers' Association to feature terrific local fiction and nonfiction. Submit your work for review and selection monthly; five authors will be chosen to read at an open-mic night in the store!

Please use the following criteria for all submissions:
*Both Fiction and Nonfiction are eligible
*600 words or less

*Times New Roman/12 pt font/1”margins/double-spaced
*Due Thursday, September 29th
*If selected, author must be available to read on the first Thursday of the following month
*Please include a brief cover letter within the email - Author's name should not appear anywhere on the submission itself.
