Polyphonic Bonsai announces auditions for David Harrower’s Olivier and Tony award-winning "Blackbird," our summer 2017 production directed by Tallahassee’s own award-winning director of "Venus in Fur," Jeff Mandel!

In "Blackbird," which is British for "jailbird," a convicted sex offender, Ray, has established a new life for himself after years in prison. Until one day when his victim, Una, shows up at his place of work seeking to make sense of their relationship . . .

The show will run at the Schnittman Hall in Railroad Square, Fridays through Sundays, from June 30th through at least July 9th.

The Auditions:

We are casting three roles: Ray, who appears can appear to be anywhere in his mid-40s to mid-60s; Una, who can appear in her mid-to-late 20s; and a girl, who can pass for 12 years of age.

Auditions will be held at the LeRoy Collins Library on Monday and Tuesday, May 8th and 9th, from 6:15 to 8:45PM, in Rooms A and B.

Invited callbacks are on Wednesday, May 10th, from 6:15 to 8:45PM, also in Rooms A and B.
