COCA’s Exhibitions & Education Director, Amanda Karioth Thompson will lead a fun class on how to enjoy the arts with kids. Summer has arrived, temperatures are soaring, and you’re out of ideas to keep your little ones busy. Why not present some artful activities? Parents, grandparents, and caregivers can make the dog days of summer more imaginative than ever with an array of hands on projects that are fun for the whole family. COCA’s Education Director, Amanda Karioth Thompson will show you how to tap into the creativity of your youngsters. From marbleizing paper and creating musical instruments to acting out idioms and creating movement patterns, your kids will have no shortage of things to keep their hands and minds busy. These activities are especially well-suited for children ages 5-12 but can be adapted for emerging artists of all ages. All materials will be provided.
