The annual Children’s Week “Give Us a Hand” campaign encourages children across Florida to create and share uniquely decorated hand artwork in an effort to remind policymakers to consider the children during the 2017 legislative session.

Children, parents, teachers and advocates from around the state are encouraged to participate in the annual campaign. To get involved, participants should mail children’s hand artwork to Children’s Week organizers from now until March 10. Children’s Week organizers will hang the artwork in an impactful display in the Florida Capitol rotunda during Children’s Week (March 26-31). Additionally, from now until March 26, participants are encouraged to share photos of children’s hand artwork on social media using the hashtag #GiveUsAHand.

Children’s Week provides a platform for advocates of children and family issues to come together for a week at the Florida Capitol and deliver the message to legislators that Florida children deserve to be healthy, educated and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
