Tallahassee Clay Arts Studio Tour 2016

Call to Artists

Saturday November 19th 10 am – 5 pm

Tallahassee Clay Arts is hosting a ceramic studio tour Saturday November 19th 2016.   This group show is a collection of individual home/studio shows focused on selling handmade ceramic items for the holiday season.  Participants can collaborate with other artists but there must be one ceramic artist at the location to be included on the tour map.  Participants must be current Tallahassee Clay Arts members as of November 2016. Membership dues are $25 a year.

To be included in the show, contact Sue Stelzmann at suestelzmann@comcast.net or 850-766-2157 by September 30th.  If you don’t want to use your home or studio as a location, but want to participate, Sue can group you with other artists hosting their own shows.

Guidelines:

Each artists needs to submit photographs suitable for print media to Sue Stelzmann by September 30th.  This includes a photograph of yourself and at least three images of your work.

For each location, please provide a description of the studio and the type of experience people can expect.  If a variety of artists that are not ceramic are in the show, please provide a list of their names and a description of their work.

For each location, the host will be the primary phone contact on the map.

Each artist is expected to advertise their own show to family and friends through social media and distribute postcards and other print media to their own mailing lists (postcards will be provided – but not postage).   All event information and tour maps that TCA provides should be forwarded or shared.

Each artist is expected to have signage (provided by TCA) clearly directing people to your location the evening before the event to help people find you.

Each location should be open to the public and presentable from 10 am to 5 pm on November 19th.

This event will proceed rain or shine.  The event will be cancelled if there is a severe weather threat.
