Omega fell in love with Middle-Eastern dance and music as a teenager and has been a student of the art form ever since. While Omega is most known for performing Egyptian-style Bellydance (especially her energetic, modern sha'abi), she also enjoys performing vintage American Cabaret Bellydance and folkloric styles from around the Middle-East. Omega has also trained in and performed Tribal Fusion Bellydance and American Tribal Style.

While earning her doctorate in music (DMA) at the University of Georgia, Omega had the opportunity to study Brazilian music. She promptly became enchanted with Samba, started taking lessons as soon as possible, and then began performing shortly after.

Omega has been performing in restaurants, hookah lounges, and private events for a decade. Omega has also recently enjoyed performing with Bellydance Evolution as a cast member for the U.S. premiere and East Coast Tour of their latest show, Fantasm: Odyssey of Dreams. Omega is thrilled to be joining Bellydance Evolution again on their Europe tour in November of 2017.

Omega believes that dance is for everybody and that it's never too late to learn something new. She hopes that by sharing her passion with others, she can spread joy and promote learning about other cultures.

Omega currently teaches Bellydance and Samba at Hip & Heart Movement Studio and The Women's Bellydance Centerin Tallahassee, FL. She has previously taught at Hip Moves (Gainesville, FL), Barefoot Dance Studio (formerly in Athens, GA), Shambling Shimmies School of Bellydance (formerly in Gainesville, FL), and Florida State University. She has also taught workshops in Florida, Georgia, and Indiana.

Be sure to catch shows by Omega every Saturday from 9 to 11PM at Aladdin's Sheesha Cafe in Tallahassee.
