ROBERT A. STUART holds a B. A. in English Literatre and an M.S. in Theatre Education both from The Florida University.  Prior to his retirement in 2020, he taught theatre for thirty years in Tallahassee at Lincoln High, Lawton Chiles High (2001 Teacher of the Year), Young Actors Theatre (Artistic Director) and TCC. His first memorable role as an actor was in the Lincoln High School Choral Departmen't 1984 production of The Music Man (Winthrop Paroo).  Since then, he has performed in over sixty productions, most recently as Miss Trunchbull in Quincy Music Theatre’s Matilda the Musical and as The D’Ysquith Family in Theatre Tallahassee’s A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Other theatrical roles include The Drowsy Chaperone (The Man in the Chair), La Cage Aux Folles (Albin/ZaZa), The Producers (Roger DeBris), To Kill a Mockingbird (Bob Ewell), Sordid Lives (Brother Boy), My Fair Lady (Higgins), Hairspray (Edna) and August: Osage County (Charlie).  His over eighty directing credits include: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Leon High), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Young Actors Theatre), Into the Woods (Young Actors Theatre), Noises Off! (Lincoln High School), Little Shop of Horrors (Young Actors Theatre), Steel Magnolias (Lincoln High School and Young Actors Theatre), Lend Me a Tenor (Lincoln High School) and The Pirates of Penzance (Lawton Chiles High School) and Sordid Lives (Off-Street Players).
