Who are we, anyway?
We are a “re-formed” group of artists and fine craftspersons, art educators and those who appreciate art. Our membership includes professional, practicing, outsider and self-taught art makers committed to collaborative work and inclusive participation.

A Short History
For well over three decades, the Artists’ League was affiliated with the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts (FSU MOFA). In 2019, as the FSU MOFA expressed a change of vision, members began planning to “re-form” an independent iteration of the League, committed to the collegial, supportive, and informational nature of the original organization, and committed to sharing opportunities to exhibit as an official group – now with an invitation to artists across the entire Big Bend region of Florida. In March of 2020, Tallahassee Community College (TCC) offered the Artists’ League a summer group show, and a show every summer in perpetuity, once we were formally established. Then COVID-19 hit and shut down all higher ed, business, and government venues. In 2021, ALBB organized as an official nonprofit 501(c)(4) corporation with the Florida Department of State.
