Wiregrass Gallery "Youth at HeART" Exhibit

This March, come be inspired by young artists as Wiregrass Gallery displays this month’s theme, “Youth at HeART!” Wiregrass Art Gallery, Thomasville’s artist cooperative, has invited schools in the area to participate in an art show in honor of National Youth Art Month. National Youth Art Month is a celebration of young artists and their artworks that started in 1961 through the Art and Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI).

Working to recognize art as a viable faction in education curriculum that develops citizens, expands art programs in schools, stimulates new art programs, and encourages commitment to the arts by students, community organizations, and individuals everywhere, Youth Art Month provides opportunities for individuals of all ages to participate in creative art learning by increasing community, business, and governmental support for art education and interest through art exhibits, workshops, and other creative venues.

Original elementary school students’ youth works, including pieces from Bella Frazier, Nola West, Karmann Rudd, Ashlynne Eggers, Samir Cody, Rebecca Cook, Emerson Eggers, Dream Hill, and more, will be showcased at Wiregrass Art Gallery from March 1st to March 31st, located at 130 E. Jackson St., Thomasville, Georgia, and open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M., the month-long showcase is free and open to all!
