Wiregrass Gallery Featured Member Artist: Lynda Hartnig

Lynda Hartnig, who contributes career benefactions to vocational education and training of individuals with disabilities, creates unique necklaces and earrings! She has studied with many talented artists in the area—mostly through the Florida Society of Goldsmiths and designs using Precious Metal Clay. The product, which can be shaped and textured, has fine particles of metal suspended in the clay with a binder. Once the clay is fired, the binder burns off, and fine silver jewelry is created, it does not tarnish as much as sterling silver! Studying with Kathleen Wilcox for more than six years, Lynda produces earrings, enameled pendants, and many beautiful designs.
