A collection of stylized photography of local Vietnam Veterans from Chapter 96. Photographer Mike Wewerka brings his unique style to these emotional portraits.
The Vietnam Veterans Portrait Photography Project was started by local professional photographer Mike Wewerka as a way of honoring his father for his service in Vietnam. The Vietnam War has been considered the "taboo" war, the war nobody wants to talk about and because that, many soldiers who served their country, regardless of whether the U.S. was right or wrong, tend to be forgotten. The Vietnam Veterans Portrait Photography Project show is requiring a $5 donation per person, at the door, 100% of which will be then donated to the local VVA Chapter. The photographer has made it clear, he wishes NOT to make money from this show, as his efforts are to bring awareness and honor to these brave Veterans and all donations will be given to them and their chapter so they can continue their charitable efforts here in Tallahassee.
