The University Philharmonia with Andrew Becker, saxophone (winner of the 2021 Young Artist Competition) present “European Rarities” featuring seldom performed or underappreciated music from European composers.
Join the University Philharmonia on February 18 and 19 for “European Rarities,” a program that will include the Albinoni-Giazotto Adagio for Strings and Organ (seldom performed in its original version); the Tomasi Saxophone Concerto (featuring saxophone soloist Andrew Becker, winner of the 2021 Young Artist Competition); and the cornerstone of the concert, the Russian hidden gem, Kalinnikov's Symphony No. 1 in G minor.
