Begin your weekend early on Thursday at the Rose Bud parade. Tiny dancers and middle school bands march along, calling for an adorable evening. On Friday, take the time to stop and smell the roses at the Rose Show tent, which boasts thousands of the finest Roses brought in by Rosarians from all over the southeast. Next, find a spot for the 71st annual “Roses in Rhythm” Rose Parade. Pageant Queens, Marching Bands, and Floats galore; this parade is a big time and always a big draw in the community. As soon as the parade is over, everyone is welcome to fill the street and boogie the night away at the family-friendly Downtown Street Dance held at the intersection of Broad and Jefferson Street. There’s nothing like a firework show over the Historic Courthouse’s clock tower to finish off Friday’s festivities with a bang!
Believe it or not, the fun doesn’t end there. Saturday morning boasts one of the southeast’s largest car and truck shows at the Show and Shine. Antiques to modern muscle cars will wow and excite car lovers and casual guests alike. On the other end of Broad Street, Bark in the Park takes place- where you can see Thomasville’s finest furry friends who are sure to make you smile. If you love to shop local and peruse art, Art in the Park will not disappoint either! Festival food, handcrafted goods, and artwork fill Paradise Park to the brim for your enjoyment, but the fun isn’t finished yet! We’re sending off the Rose Show with the ALL NEW ROSE FEST FINALE!! Join us for a Sip & Stroll style evening with Trae Pierce & the T Stones, rocking the Ritz Amphitheater stage until 10 pm!
