The Lure of Florida Fishing

The Lure of Florida Fishing highlights the history of sport fishing in Florida from the late nineteenth century to the present.

Fishing is one of the largest participant sports in the world and Florida offers many chances for locals and tourists to pursue this popular pastime. Home to one of the longest coastlines in the country as well as abundant lakes, rivers, and streams, Florida’s waters teem with more than 600 species of fish.
