The Conscience Collective

The FAMU Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery proudly presents The Conscience Collective: A Celebration of the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (CSSAH). This exhibition marks the celebration of the 2020 Enshrinement Class into the CSSAH Gallery of Distinction taking place March 3 – 4, 2022. The Conscience Collective stems from CSSAH\\\’s epithet as \\\”The Conscience of the Academy,\\\” emphasizing our many disciplines that examine the significance of our sociocultural world. CSSAH is home to 14 undergraduate programs presenting, exploring, and expressing the world\\\’s vast social and cultural systems, ranging from sociology to music and psychology to theatre, just to name a few. The exhibition\\\’s nearly 40 artworks reflect and celebrate each artists\\\’ vision of our college. We are excited to feature a dynamic cadre of artists in this group show. The roster includes Elton Burgest, April Fitzpatrick, Anosh Gil, Marilyn Proctor-Givens, Kenneth Reshard, Eluster Richardson, Joe Roache, and Earl Washington. The Conscience Collective will also present a special feature highlighting the paintings of Traci Mims, one of CSSAH\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s newest Gallery of Distinction Enshrinees into the 2020 alumni cohort. The Conscience Collective will be open to the public from February 1 – March 11, 2022. Visitors are welcome to visit the gallery Tuesday – Friday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., or by appointment. Admission is free and open to the public.
