The Artist Series presents: Aspen String Trio

The Aspen String Trio is one of the rare professional string trios performing and touring today. As summer faculty colleagues at the Aspen Festival and School in Colorado, Aspen String Trio members have been performing together for more than twenty years. Celebrated for virtuoso performances offered with humor and insight, Aspen String Trio performs the complete trios of Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert, as well as lesser known blockbuster works by Dohnányi, Hindemith, Martinů, Rozsa, Gideon Klein, Veress, Villa-Lobos and Ysaÿe, among others. As teaching faculty at distinguished universities and conservatories, Trio members are committed to incorporating educational components into all residencies. In addition to standard master classes, they offer a unique variety of classes and workshops covering topics such as The Business of Music, Poetry, Creative Writing, and Management, all developed to address aspects of students’ professional lives, and in conjunction with other areas of their study.
