Tallahassee Civic Chorale Fundraiser: Publix Aprons Cooking School

The Tallahassee Civic Chorale will be holding a fundraiser at Publix Aprons Cooking School on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Publix Aprons Cooking School is located at 3521 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32309. Because the chefs need to know how many will be in attendance for the cooking school, the deadline for tickets is 6:00 pm on Monday, June 10.

The chefs of the Publix Aprons cooking school will demonstrate the preparation of a four-course meal and then serve each course with a wine selected to complement each dish. This year’s fund raiser is called “A Florida Feast” and will feature a distinctly local menu inspired by the Chorale’s summer concert themes of community, friendship and solidarity:

• 1st Course: Blistered tomato and burrata crostini (using gluten free bread) with arugula pesto.
• 2nd Course: Sautéed shrimp and watermelon salad.
• Main Course: Snapper with Florida rice and beans and roasted poblano salsa verde.
• Dessert Course: roasted habanero-mango sorbet with grilled pineapple
