Sunday Stories with Ellen Thomas at My Favorite Books

When Timmy receives a magic wrench from his Papaw, it opens up a world of stock car racing. Timmy’s new friend, Verna, has bipolar disorder and autism. Will Timmy’s wrench help Verna achieve her dream of acceptance and seeing a BMX race? We hope you’ll come hear more about Timmy and join us for Sunday Stories at MFB. Ellen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in special education. She has a passion for removing the stigma of mental illness and helping parents understand their child’s educational rights. We’re excited to have her as a special guest and continue our StoryTime on Sundays at 2pm!

We believe in the importance of reading aloud to children and encouraging them to find their love of reading. By holding a weekly StoryTime every Sunday at 2pm in our kids’ section we’ll share our love of books. Sunday Stories at My Favorite Books will be different every week; we’ll do a craft, sing a song, have special guests, dress in our pajamas, or who knows! Watch our Facebook page for updates on what will be happening each Sunday. We hope you’ll join us on our journey to encourage and make reading fun!
