Sunday at Four: American Music, Stories and Folk Songs

Join us as we travel around the United States of America, visiting far off places and hearing tall tales, all to the tune of Stephen Foster.

Join us for a look back on American Musical History! Classic American music featuring songs of Stephen Foster and settings from The Social Orchestra. This work consists of instrumental arrangements of popular music and well-known operas as well as some of Foster’s own compositions. The work was published in 1854 and sought to provide musical entertainment for all social situations. These works will be paired with tales of American folklore heroes such as Paul Bunyan, John Henry, Casey Jones
