PUBLIC ART under the oaks at Thomasville Center for the Arts, showcasing paper mache’ inspired by Susan Hable and her transformation from 2d to 3d.
Inspired by Hable's bright and hopeful collage work on paper, this installation represents the colliding and transformation from 2d to 3d combined with the gentleness of nature.
With her use of color and texture influenced by Georgia red clay, and the landscapes of Oaxaca, Mexico, and Rajasthan, India, her pieces are strong yet gentle, which begs the question--how can something so solid appear so ephemeral?
