Soulful Feelin': A Folk Art Celebration

In collaboration with the John G. Riley Center & Museum, LeMoyne Arts will host a special exhibit celebrating local and Southern folk artists and their contributions to the visual arts experience in our community. This exhibition is a tribute to the enduring legacy of folk art as a universal form of expression. It celebrates the ingenuity, authenticity, and shared humanity that binds artists from all walks of life with works by renowned artists, such as O.L Samuels, Thornton Dial, Sr., and Mary Proctor.As we pay homage to the past, we also embrace contemporary voices who continue to breathe life into this timeless tradition. Join us in a community exploration of artistry, where folk artists captivate, inspire, and enlighten. Exhibit Opening — Thursday, April 11 | 5:00pm-7:30pm Join us for the opening of Soulful Feelin’: A Folk Art Celebration! Enjoy live music by The Hot Tamales, while sipping on a glass of wine or one of our DEEP Brewing Co. custom brews. Chicken Salad Chick will also be supplying some our favorite mini chicken salad sandwiches.

Muffins & Mimosas — Saturday, May 4 | 11:00am-12:30pm Sip on mimosas, locally-brewed craft beer by DEEP Brewing Co., or hot coffee from Argonaut Coffee. Live music will be provided by Elsinore Sewing Club.
