POSTPONED - Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Festival 2020

Mark your calendars for our 20th Annual Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin’ Festival – April 11, 2020 in the streets of historic downtown Sopchoppy. Worm Gruntin’ is a very real thing. Come and watch the worm charmers as they grunt the worms right out of the ground – the best fishing bait around.  The day starts with a 5K Race (active.com to register), we have 100 arts & crafts and food vendors, and the Worm Gruntin’ demonstration will be followed by a worm gruntin’ contest for children (12 and under). There is a horseshoe championship, a hula hoop contest and music all day, ending with the Worm Grunters’ Ball from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. Come and enjoy the day in Sopchoppy as you browse the arts & crafts, watch the Worm Gruntin’ demonstration at 9:45am, listen to a little music, eat a delectable lunch, sit a spell under the old oak tree, then do it all again and make it a take-your-time, family day of it.  Lots of special kid’s activities (bounce house, rock wall, obstacle course, face painting) located near the children’s playground in the Park across from the old train depot that is now a free museum.  Don’t forget to buy your Worm Gruntin’ T-Shirt (also koozies, caps, aprons and posters) near the worm gruntin’ field in the big tent.
