Sightreading Boot Camp

Mezzo-soprano Kendra Wieneke will lead this workshop on singing music quickly and accurately on sight. Workshop includes:

• How to prepare for the sight-reading portion of school, community, and college auditions.
• Basics of note-reading
• Use of solfége
• Practical strategies for successfully navigating music on sight

Requirements: Open to students ages 12-18 of all instruments and ability levels.

Cost: $30

Instructor: Ms. Kendra Wieneke is a voice and piano instructor at Music Lessons Express. She holds degrees in vocal performance from Eastman School of Music and has extensive experience as an opera singer and as a vocal accompanist. She is the executive artistic director of Patchwork Project, an initiative for the performance of American music.
