Sense and Sensibility

Presented by Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall - Florida State University, Tallahassee FL

Mar 24 2018
Sense and Sensibility

Featuring violinist Yevgeny Kutik and the music of Adams, Prokofiev and Elgar. Exclusively Sponsored by Legacy Toyota

This concert will begin with the wild sonic ride of Adams' motoric score and end with perhaps the greatest of all English orchestral works - the Enigma Variations. Elgar's sensual homage to his circle of friends (14 friends and a dog are represented) cemented the composer's reputation as a master craftsman. Between these two works is Prokofiev's first violin concerto, which captures both the Romantic sensibility and sarcastic strands in the composer's inimitable style.
