Rob Lombardo Art at the Wine House

Art at the Wine House is a new and exciting addition to the Wine House music weekends.  This “pop up” is a two day event mixing unusual art with exceptional wine. Rob Lombardo is a local mixed media artist who shows regularly at the Gadsden Art Museum and other local venues, including a month long exhibit at the Sage Restaurant.  Frederick Mursch, Wine House’s impresario has a long interest in art and this event has been a long time in the planning stage.
Rob’s work is a combination of found objects, wood, metal, fabric and paint exploration with color and texture.  Special for this show is a display of Rob’s mobiles.  A follower of Alexander Calder, Rob’s first exploration into fine art was in mobile construction.  Calder, a master of design and balance, thought of the floating mobile as art in constant motion, affected the angle of light and the interrelationship of parts.  Come and take a look.
