Renesito Avich, one-man band from Cuba

Renesito Avich, visiting us in Tallahassee from Santiago, Cuba, will stage his one-man-band performance at Caribé 2018! The FREE event will be held at Railroad Square Art Park, and his act will be from 9-10 pm.

Renesito Avich is a wonder to see and hear!  A Florida Folklife funding recipient, Avich visits us from his hometown in Santiago, Cuba.  See him on the Athena Garden Stage in Railroad Square from 9-10 pm on Sat. Sept. 29th.  According to his website, Avich is an "exponent of the Tres guitar in Cuba. The Florida Folklife Program, a component of the Florida Department of State's Division of Historical Resources, documents and presents the folklife, folklore, and folk arts of the state. The Florida Folklife Program (FFP) coordinates a wide range of activities and projects designed to increase the awareness of Floridians and visitors alike about our traditional culture.  It is thanks to this program that Renesito Avich is visiting us from Cuba.
