Join us for the latest exhibition at the Anderson Brickler Gallery, opening on February 2nd.
The Brown v. Board of Education decision, issued unanimously by the Supreme Court of the United States on May 17, 1954, was a watershed in American jurisprudence. We take a look back at the circumstances that compelled the five groups of plaintiffs in the case and the impact that the decision had on our community and throughout the South, then and today. Works include paintings, photographs, and photojournalism. Featured artists are Debra Ambush, Ted Ellis, Tavani Williams, and Melvin McCray.
