Playwriting and Adaptation Workshop

Four centuries after his death, Shakespeare is still widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s greatest playwright. This 90-minute workshop, intended for aspiring dramatists at all levels of their craft, will explore writing-prompts and exercises derived from Shakespeare’s works. Gleaning insights into his characters, meter and poetic expression, participants will leave with a stronger sense of how “The Bard’s” textual scaffolding can deepen and aid their dramatic writings today, whatever the story or genre.
