The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra presents Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, also featuring guest artist Roman Rabinovich playing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3.
The ten movements in Pictures at an Exhibition serve as musical illustrations of drawings and watercolors by Viktor Hartmann, a dear friend of Mussorgsky’s who died prematurely. Originally composed for piano, the symphonic version we love today was orchestrated by Maurice Ravel at the request of famed Russian conductor Serge Koussevitzky. General parking is available in the St. Augustine Garage located on the corner of Pensacola and Copeland Streets, and the Call Street Garage located on corner of Call and Macomb Streets. Accessible parking is available at the North Entrance of Ruby Diamond Concert Hall and along Convocation Way. The accessible entrance drop-off area is located at the north entrance of Ruby Diamond (the roundabout) and may be accessed by Convocation Way. Elevators are available to take patrons to the appropriate floor. Ushers will help direct patrons to the elevators.
