Painting the Landscape with Soft Pastels

We will learn how to use pastels effectively in creating landscapes. Soft pastels will be used as oil painters and watercolorists use a brush. We will focus on mark making, composition, color theory and design used in creating a painting. Techniques and underpainting will also be discussed.
