The Florida Folklife Program and the Florida State University Center for Music of the Americas present the 2019 Folklife Artists-in-Residence, Puerto Rican bomba ensemble Taller Balancé Bomba Afro-Boricua, in a free community workshop.
Join us for a free workshop and lecture by Puerto Rican bomba ensemble Taller Balancé Bomba Afro-Boricua. Featured as the 2019 Artists-in-Residence, master barrel-maker Angel Reyes and Taller Balancé will share the fundamentals of bomba as well as the cultural background and historical significance of the style. Audience participation is highly encouraged!
