Mosquito-Borne Disease in South Georgia: Connecting Our Past to the Present

On March 7, Dr. Mark Blackmore, Professor of Biology at Valdosta State University, will deliver “Mosquito-Borne Disease in Georgia: Connecting Our Past to the Present,” a lecture on the Yellow Fever epidemic of the early nineteenth century.

The Thomas County Historical Society is proud to present a redesigned 2017 Spring Program series exploring the history, culture, ecology, and landscape of the Red Hills region.  The series will be comprised of two lectures and a hands-on workshop all taking place in March.
