Middle East Film Festival

The Middle East Film Festival starts next Friday at FSU. This year all films will be screened in person at the Student Life Cinema. For the closing night, we are hosting the film director who is an FSU alumnus and we are so excited to have him for a Q&A after the movie.   This is our 14th MEFF at FSU:   Feb 10 – Arab Blues (Tunisia) + Reception at 6 PM Feb 19 – Foragers (Palestine) at 6 PM Feb 26 – The Breadwinner (Afghanistan) at 6 PM Mar 9 – 1982 (Lebanon) + Filmmaker Q&A at 6PM   For our opening night on February 10, we have 8 ME student organizations who will be tabling from 5:15-6 pm to showcase their organizations and their programs. After the movie at 7:45 pm, we have a reception with middle eastern food catered by the Sweet Shop and entertainment provided by the” FSU Belly dancers group” and” Aziza Middle East Ensemble” from the Music School.   For our closing night, we will be serving baklava and tea after the Q&A ends.   All our films and programs are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!
