Life, Love and Legacy of Service: The Anita Favors-Thompson Collection

On display are historical photos, artifacts and other material representing the remarkable legacy of the first female and African American to hold the esteemed leadership position as the appointed City Manager of Florida’s capital city.

We are celebrating Women’s History Month with a spectacular new exhibit “Life, Love and Legacy of Service: The Anita Favors-Thompson Collection” . This collection is comprised of Tallahassee’s former City Manager Mrs. Anita Favors-Thompson personal items, awards, portraits and numerous regalia that commemorates her servant leadership throughout the decades. The exhibit will be on display until April 5, 2016 and group tours are available upon request.
