Fred Graham, the director, producer, and star of a musical version of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, has more to keep him busy than his play. His ex-wife and leading lady, Lilli Vanessi, quarrels with him on- and off-stage. And as if that were not enough, he has invited his affair, the promiscuous Lois Lane, to play opposite Lilli in the role of Bianca.
