About the Author:

Debbie Freeman has taught elementary-age children in the US, Japan, and Belgium as a military spouse. She loves history, and while researching US frontier army life for a Wyoming museum, she came upon an old photograph of a real pack mule named Wild Bill. It was then she knew his story needed to be told!

Debbie now lives in Tallahassee, FL with her husband but still takes time to visit the wild frontier!
