Invisible History: Middle Florida’s Hidden Roots

The Museum of Florida History presents a special screening of the 2021 Suncoast Regional Emmy Award winning documentary “Invisible History: Middle Florida’s Hidden Roots.”

The film sheds light on the little-known history of plantations and the enslaved in North Florida. Valarie Scoon, the film’s director, will discuss her work and answer questions following the screening.

The "Spirits of the Passage" exhibit will be open and refreshments served in the Museum lobby starting at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin in the Heritage Hall Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Parking and admission is free.
