Intro to Sewing Intensive for Teens and Adults

In this one-week intensive class you will learn the basics of a sewing machine, hand stitching, sewing buttons, how to read and use a simple pattern, choosing correct fabric, simple alterations, and how to start & finish a costume piece. We aim to finish the course with each student having the knowledge to do quick costume fixes and also create a custom costume piece.

Sewing machines are provided! You are also welcome to bring your own sewing machine but it must be operational and ready to sew. The materials fee of $30 for this class will provide a sewing kit you get to keep as well as all fabrics, notions, etc.
